Apple Systems Pvt. Ltd. was formed as a proprietorship firm in the year 1983, to manufacture electronic and electrical power products. We started the company by taking up the design and development of Ferro Resonant type non-isolated voltage regulators as per ITD specifications, for erstwhile Indian Posts and Telegraph Department, for their use in remotely located Micro-wave stations. This product was approved by them and purchased in large quantity. Subsequently, in the year 1985, we have designed and developed isolated type Ferro-Resonant voltage regulators and branded them ACCUREG Line Conditi°''''''''1ers, because of its unique function as a supplier of pure, stable computer grade supply. The age of computerization had just begun and this product was rightly introduced in for protection of computers and Micro-Processor based systems, are working today, in diverse applications, all over the country.
We never sat on our laurels; we further designed and developed ACCUREG to work on as low as 90V. ACCUREG was also manufactured in 2 and 3 phase configuration and, upto as high as, 50 KVA. The feat, on other company in the same line of business, have been able to match.
Impressed by outstanding work of our RandD engineers, we took upon ourselves to meet the challenge to design and develop ferroresonant voltage regulators as per stringent IRS specifications, for use in, critical railway signaling applications, Not only have we developed such a product, and got it approved by the Research Designs and Standard Organizations (RDSO), under Ministry of Railways based at Lucknow, but were also promoted to Part-1 established supplier within a short span of 7 - 8 months, as a consideration of our having timely supplied over 12000 of such regulators to Indian Railways.
On the side, we continued our product development in area of Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems (UPS).
We were the first, in the country to offer, in technical collaboration with a major Taiwanese company, Microprocessor Controlled, Slim profiled UPS system, with internally packed Sealed Maintenance Free batteries. Branded as ACCUPOWER, now with over 500anstallations, all over the country, it is the hot favourite of the personal computer market.
Indigenously, we translated our strength in design of ferroresonant based transformers, to combine the advantages of the Line Conditioners and the UPS. This resulted in ACCULlNE, a ferro-resonant based ON-LINE, SINEWAVE state of the art UPS system, which redefines the reliability and versatality standards of uninterrupted power supplies. Made in the capacities from 0.5 KVA to 10 KVA, the product has already hit the market commanding good installation base.
We have also received type approval from RDSO for manufacture and supply of Inverters as per IRS specifications S-82/92, for Railway Signaling applications. With position of power as it is, we expect the Railways to purchase these Inverters in a large quantity.
