SIDMA, Delhi is an association of Manufacturers and Dealers for Scientific Instruments used in the School, Colleges & Research Laboratories and it is was founded in 1965. The geographical area covered is mainly Delhi – NCR and northern India.
Activities:-
It is actively involved in trade promotion and it is a vital catalyst for this industry which is still in nascent stages of development. It also helps in exchange of information about various facets of our industry along with new development in the trade and taxation matters.
SIDMA represents approx 200 active members whose production forms a majority of scientific trade in the NCR region which is main source of supply all over India and many other countries.
Another goal is to realize the huge potential that exists for the export of the products manufactured by our members.
Main Objectives:-
To promote the growth of scientific industry in India
To promote exports of our products and earn precious foreign exchange for our mother land
To educate members and provide them an industry platform
To established contacts within our scientific community for exchange of information
To make presence of members by print media as well as internet
Industry Future:-
This platform is very vital for our industry because this industry is always neglected by the government in spite of the facts that it is back bone for all research and development in the country. Per capita consumption in India is still low and we believed that there can be a great future for our Industry and the process can be accelerated by the concentrated efforts of organization like ours.
